Latest & Greatest: Shopping & Traveling

I’ve been shopping around for Easter baskets gifts, small decorations, planning my Easter table and recipes – there are some really great items this year that are equally beautiful and affordable. H&M has been my go-to lately. I love their taper candles, holiday decor, table linens and ceramics. I had almost bought this plate multiple times in white, but when this color way dropped, it was an immediate purchase for me (I’ve been really into pink lately). I will get lots of use out of this all summer long!

Here are a few other items I’ve purchased from years past – along with a few budget finds for this year. The placemats from Target also come in white!

I asked you in stories whether we should do table lamps or wall sconces in the dining room for additional lighting, and it was pretty much unanimous: wall sconces for the win. I ended up returning these wall lights I’m holding up in the photos (quality was not there) and I’m now waiting on these handmade brass lights from Etsy and I cannot wait to see them in person. I ordered three – two for either side of the mirror and one for the opposite corner of the room over my pedestal.

I have been kind of obsessed with finding a terrycloth set for this spring that didn’t cost upwards of $200. I found this set a few months back and just pulled the trigger on it. I am not normally a ¾ length sleeve girl but I feel a resurgence of this style coming on. It hit my doorstep the other day and the shorts are a great length – not too short, not too long – and the top has a relaxed, swingy shape while still looking polished.

California celebrations

Last week I hopped a plan to CA to visit a dear friend and celebrate her 30th birthday. It was so fun to be back on the west cost (I haven’t been since our honeymoon 13 years ago!)  and have a little girls trip. We mainly spent our time in San Jose shopping, eating and catching up. We celebrated in my friend’s back yard garden with a chef dinner under heat lamps & cafe lights – it was perfection! Our last day we drove into Sausalito before our flight and spent half of the day by the water and doing a little exploring. It really woke my travel bug and has me looking for ways to go on more trips in the next year.

The dress I wore is one of my favorites because it’s easy to throw on, can be dressed up or down and is a drop waist – a trend I am loving. My exact dress is out of stock but this is a great option for upcoming warm weather.

Our days are numbered in this little house of ours Our days are numbered in this little house of ours 🥺 all of the house showings, packing and move prep has me donating items + bringing in a few new things that needed a refresh. I added a new set of bedding to our room from @onequince it feels so luxurious but is also very affordable. I’ve shopped @onequince for a few years now and I’ve never been disappointed! We have their bamboo sheets and European linen duvet on our bed in the color Sand - the color feels so rich and beautiful in person. The duvet also comes in a micro stripe that I have my eye on…maybe for the new house! #QuincePartner

I have a few iron obelisks but I wanted to make some that felt a little more wild and organic; this was a super cheap project and I love how they turned out! You could even use branches from around your yard. Just hot glue and cover any joints with twine. Instant charm 🫶

There is a beauty and ease that comes with life by There is a beauty and ease that comes with life by the sea, whether it be on northern or southern shores. Seashells are a quintessential beauty that are worn by living creatures, eventually discarded for us to enjoy or broken down to become one with the earth. They’re a reminder of the beauty of life and how powerful nature can be. And because of that, I think they’re a perfect addition to any room – no matter where you live!

We started planning and renovating this space abou We started planning and renovating this space about two years ago and I have a few takeaways now that we’ve lived with it:
- so glad we fit as much shelving into this space as possible
- storing our microwave in here is 👌
- I toyed with the idea of adding an ice maker in here…kinda wish I would have
- the wallpaper was the best splurge
- removing walls isn’t always the answer (we split a hallway in two to create this space)

You can read all about this project on the blog! Link in bio 🫶
