sunshine therapy
Last week we took a trip to our favorite place off of 30A. I grew up going to the secluded, quiet beaches of Cape San Blas – a small peninsula jutting out into the Gulf, an hour or so east of the more popular vacation spots of Panama City, Destin and other beaches on 30A. I’ve been to Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Alys Beach – and I still prefer the more secluded, laid back nature of Cape San Blas. It’s easy to stay beach front or on the bay with beautiful views and beaches on either side. The closest town is Port St. Joe which has since grown into a cute little downtown with restaurants and shopping to choose from.
The house we booked for the trip has been my favorite so far. The layout was great, had multiple porches, and was designed to feel beach-side without kitschy decor. We were already talking about the next time we get to stay in this house!

I’m ready to store my boots and move onto spring slides and sandals, and these two in particular are on my wish list. The almond suede loafers are chic and timeless (also, if you’ve never shopped Quince – you’re missing out!) and would go just as well with denim shorts as they would white jeans or a summer dress. The Dolce Vita slides are a shoe I would wear all summer long while going on walks with the kids or running to work meetings. I like that they’re a little dressed up yet easy to wear. Win-win!
I feel as though I am on a lifelong journey to finding the perfect denim for myself – anyone else? If you’re short and a little curvy like me, I found a verrry good contender for the best denim I have ever bought. The Curve Love line from Abercrombie has such a great fit: no waist gap, not too tight through the hips and thigh yet they don’t drown my short frame. The shorts are just as good!
I sized down in these and went with the regular inseam.
