Hunters Chase Project

July 9, 2020

About a year ago I had the opportunity to begin working with a family who were in the beginning stages of building their first home. I was brought on after hard finishes were selected to help with lighting throughout the home, window treatments and finishings. We wrapped everything up at the beginning of this year, but with everything being delayed by Coronavirus I just now was able to get in and photograph a few of the main spaces. Let’s jump right in!

The office is immediately off the entry and definitely the most dramatic space in the house. We kept everything streamlined and masculine, while still speaking to the light and airy feel of the rest of the home.

In the foyer we used this huge, geometric chandelier and I love how it fills the space. The entry opens up to a two story great room that has lots of great natural light and keeps the entire house feeling bright and airy.

The kitchen is directly off of the great room. We used these beautiful Rejuvenation pendants over the island which give off the prettiest pop of contrast.

My clients picked this exposed brick backsplash for their all white kitchen which really warms up the space & adds great texture.

The back entry is immediately off the kitchen, and is the main way the family comes in and out of the house; so we kept things functional with a bench for tying shoes and a durable sisal runner for the hall.

And the half bath – with the prettiest wallpaper you ever did see! – is such a beautiful pop of pattern at the end of the hallway to greet guests.

Eventually there will be more rooms to share of this house, but until then I’m so happy to share the main floor with you all today!

Have a happy Thursday —

XO,

Lauren

Come with me as I work on giving Cohen’s room a Come with me as I work on giving Cohen’s room a little refresh! He was in need of a nice, flat weave rug (because Legos) and I was really excited to get this Henley rug by @loloirugs x @joannagaines @magnolia from their latest collab. I have these rugs all over my house because I seriously love them and they wear so well! More to come on this little room of his.

Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain it’s time to let the furniture breathe a bit and open everything up to the sun. With part of our patio being pea gravel, the easiest way to get loose stones back where they belong is with our leaf blower - we recently topped it off with more gravel so it’s looking extra plush lately. You will find me here tonight pretending that it’s already the weekend 🥂

I rearranged the back patio a bit and I’m loving how it feels. Just a little reminder that it doesn’t take big bucks or an overhaul for something to feel fresh again!
