Christmas inspired textiles

warm – textured – subtle color & pattern

I’ve been researching paint colors for our dining room & upstairs bedrooms. I’m excited to make a few changes that feel easy and fun after working so long on the bathroom! Paint is the best. It’s transformative, affordable and most importantly: not permanent – so taking risks is more fun. I think I’ve found the perfect shade of brown for the dining room & I’m counting down the days to when I can crack that can of paint open!

I’ve been pulling Christmas decorations out in phases this year rather than all at once & I’ve been loving taking my time, not feeling rushed to get it all done in a day. I invested in this McGee & Co. wreath a few years ago and it’s still my favorite. Instead of hanging it on our front door this year I layered it over my Facebook Marketplace find mirror in the dining room. This wreath is no longer available but I linked another that is similar in color & size, making it a great option to use year after year:

Faux Pine Wreath with White Berries

Despite most of us being under the weather, we ventured outside last weekend to snap a few family photos before all of the beautiful fall foliage fell. We dressed up with what we had, set up the camera on my tripod and bribed the kids with donuts if they did well. Always worth the work to freeze these precious faces in time!

We’re working away to finish the bathroom this weekend & I cannot wait to share all of the progress with you next week. Wish us luck!!

Enjoy your weekend, friends.

Come with me as I work on giving Cohen’s room a Come with me as I work on giving Cohen’s room a little refresh! He was in need of a nice, flat weave rug (because Legos) and I was really excited to get this Henley rug by @loloirugs x @joannagaines @magnolia from their latest collab. I have these rugs all over my house because I seriously love them and they wear so well! More to come on this little room of his.

Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain it’s time to let the furniture breathe a bit and open everything up to the sun. With part of our patio being pea gravel, the easiest way to get loose stones back where they belong is with our leaf blower - we recently topped it off with more gravel so it’s looking extra plush lately. You will find me here tonight pretending that it’s already the weekend 🥂

I rearranged the back patio a bit and I’m loving how it feels. Just a little reminder that it doesn’t take big bucks or an overhaul for something to feel fresh again!
