VINTAGE RUG ROUNDUP

It’s about time for another Etsy vintage rug roundup! Vintage rugs tend to be an odd size, so I always like to layer a jute rug underneath if it’s going in a larger living space. Shop a few of my recent favorites in all shapes & color ways below!

LATELY

DESIGN by MEREDITH RODDAY DESIGN

I am loving how interiors are starting to lean more and more traditional. The warmer whites, cozier spaces with emphasis on details and layered pattern & color is bringing me a fresh wave of inspiration. My creative gears are always turning but lately I’m prone to falling in to ruts. I get big ideas and then talk myself back down: “it’s too much work”, “you don’t need to paint that room… again”, “it’s pretty enough the way it is” — but the truth is that when I go for the big ideas those always turn out to be the best decisions! Even though to the outsider it may look indecisive, or as though I can’t find contentment in what I have, it really is just feeding my appetite to create beautiful spaces. To have that initial “Ooh, I wonder what this would look like?!” thought and see it through to completion is incredibly rewarding!

This kitchen by Meredith Rodday (@viewfrommyheels) is giving me loads of inspiration and all kind of ideas for our own home. Stay tuned!

We went for four chairs in the front room and I’m loving it! I think it sets the space a part from the tv den as a more conversational space and a fun arrangement that you don’t see as often in homes. So if you’ve been on the hunt for the prettiest accent chair, all colors are still in stock — run, don’t walk!

This week I took a walk around our neighborhood and shared a few homes that are long-time favorites of mine. I decided to make it a weekly thing and start sharing my favorites with the hashtag #hometheologyhomecrush. Join me and share your favorite homes in your neighborhood, too!

Our back patio umbrella needed replaced, so I ordered two on a whim from a new website – one for the dining space and one for the lounge space. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived and highly recommend if you’re in the market for an umbrella yourself!

He was in need of a nice, flat weave rug (because Legos) and I was really excited to get this Henley rug by @loloirugs x @joannagaines @magnolia from their latest collab. I have these rugs all over my house because I seriously love them and they wear so well! More to come on this little room of his.

Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain it’s time to let the furniture breathe a bit and open everything up to the sun. With part of our patio being pea gravel, the easiest way to get loose stones back where they belong is with our leaf blower - we recently topped it off with more gravel so it’s looking extra plush lately. You will find me here tonight pretending that it’s already the weekend 🥂

I rearranged the back patio a bit and I’m loving how it feels. Just a little reminder that it doesn’t take big bucks or an overhaul for something to feel fresh again!
