beautiful coffee table books
When it comes to styling, you can never have too many books. Here are a few of my newest favorites that are beautiful on a shelf + pages full of inspiration.
lately
Our dining room is kind of a catchall for new furniture pieces + decor that I bring home (like this huge jar from Bliss Home Market). I am planning on finishing this room off with drapery and chair pads that I want to DIY. I have a bad habit of not taking each room of our house to the finish line with all of the finishing touches it needs. I usually have multiple projects on my mind at once and can bounce from one room to the next. I would like to be better about checking those final boxes and really finish off the few rooms I tend to keep on the back burner.
This week I did a quick DIY of covering Lena’s headboard with leftover fabric I used on the curtains in her room. Pattern mixing in kids rooms is so fun, and I love how all of the fabrics on her bed work together. If you like the look of block print fabrics, you absolutely need to check Etsy. Most fabrics are made to order and you can also find quilts, tablecloths, napkins and other already made products at really reasonable prices — plus, you’re supporting a small business!
fashion: shoes
A good pair of shoes can make any outfit feel fresh and interesting. I picked up these Madewell loafers over the weekend and absolutely love them. I’m also itching to snag some super chunky sole sneakers to add into my wardrobe, and I love the colors of these from H&M:
out of office
Last weekend Ty and I got away for our anniversary and ate our way through Columbus. One of our stops was the new Restoration Hardware to check out their rooftop restaurant; the whole showroom and restaurant is beautiful. The menu is on the quite pricey end of things, so I would suggest going for drinks or coffee + dessert if you get the chance. By far my favorite meal was from Katalina’s up in Clintonville — their dulce de leche pancake balls are what dreams are made of!
finds from the week
My mind is fully transitioning to spring and summer lately, planning out what outdoor projects we want to tackle, what I want to use in our planters this year and shopping for a new swimsuit. Here are a few things from the week I ordered + that caught my eye:
