ADDING MOSS TO YOUR FAUX (OR LIVE) TREE

Adding moss to your indoor faux (or live) tree can elevate the look of your plant + fake the real thing. If you don’t have a green thumb, realistic faux trees are widely available and a great way to add some life to your space. I like to place faux trees in larger planters and top with moss to make them look as close to the real deal as possible! You can find great oversized planters at Target, HomeGoods or home improvement stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot + Menard’s.

I linked a roundup of my current favorite faux trees along with moss to top them with below:

We celebrated my mom’s birthday last weekend and I made this German Chocolate Cake that was to die for. I followed the recipe below + iced the sides with a dark chocolate ganache = perfection. Do yourself a favor and make this over the weekend or save it for later.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE

Our dining room is becoming quite an eclectic space, but I’m really loving it! We spend a lot of time in here working from the dining room table while the kids craft and it’s a really inspiring space to be in. This knobby, turned leg table is still one of the best pieces of furniture I’ve found and I love that it has a place here.

Last week after receiving a few Q’s on what my process is for working with clients, I wrote a quick blog post about working with Interior Designers virtually. This has become one of the best + most accessible ways to get invaluable designer input if you’re embarking on any project. If you’ve ever wondered if it’s worth hiring a designer, read my take on the process below!

AMAZON FINDS

My Amazon cart is currently full of some great home decor items that I’m planning to use for a little spring refresh. It doesn’t take much to make your space feel fresh for a new season (more on that later). Here’s what I have my eye on:

There is a beauty and ease that comes with life by There is a beauty and ease that comes with life by the sea, whether it be on northern or southern shores. Seashells are a quintessential beauty that are worn by living creatures, eventually discarded for us to enjoy or broken down to become one with the earth. They’re a reminder of the beauty of life and how powerful nature can be. And because of that, I think they’re a perfect addition to any room – no matter where you live!

We started planning and renovating this space abou We started planning and renovating this space about two years ago and I have a few takeaways now that we’ve lived with it:
- so glad we fit as much shelving into this space as possible
- storing our microwave in here is 👌
- I toyed with the idea of adding an ice maker in here…kinda wish I would have
- the wallpaper was the best splurge
- removing walls isn’t always the answer (we split a hallway in two to create this space)

You can read all about this project on the blog! Link in bio 🫶
