It’s about time for a roundup of fresh styling items! I recently filled our bookshelves with most of our books and am loving the more lived-in look of it all. Of course shelf styling wouldn’t be complete without objects, artwork or pretty bowls and vessels. I like to hunt my local HomeGoods whenever I get the chance, but there are also a lot of great pieces from my favorite online stores lately. Shop some of my recent favorites:

Welcome to the LRP studio! This is where all of the handmade goods for Home Theology Shop were crafted. My mom had this studio built a few years ago and I was able to help with a few design aspects (lighting, paint, hardware, furnishings) at the time. It’s fun to see that it’s aged well and still is an inspiring place to create. Pre-Covid we hosted a few open houses where you could shop inventory, tour the studio and enjoy a yummy treats. When your business is primarily online it’s always really fun to see costumers in real life and share your process with them.

If you’re immersed in the design world you hear the terms elevations, drawings, renderings and floor plans thrown around quite a bit. It’s so important to visually communicate your ideas when working with clients or contractors, and sometimes the more technical drawing programs can be too involved during the conception phase. I started using this program with a low learning curve that has really great capabilities for consultations and sketching things by hand than can be exported to CAD. If you’re in the design business I highly recommend it!

This condiment board everyone loved is now in stock and ready to ship! The board and bowls are both handmade, and the board can be flipped over and used as a charcuterie board. Available in maple or walnut!

I don’t know about you, but Instagram targeted ads have been spot on lately. These sandals popped up in my feed and I immediately ordered them. They practice on-demand production means they don’t produce any more or any less than what is ordered. Plus, all of their shoes are handcrafted in Spain. Mine just shipped this week so I will of course be checking the tracking info daily!

He was in need of a nice, flat weave rug (because Legos) and I was really excited to get this Henley rug by @loloirugs x @joannagaines @magnolia from their latest collab. I have these rugs all over my house because I seriously love them and they wear so well! More to come on this little room of his.

Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain it’s time to let the furniture breathe a bit and open everything up to the sun. With part of our patio being pea gravel, the easiest way to get loose stones back where they belong is with our leaf blower - we recently topped it off with more gravel so it’s looking extra plush lately. You will find me here tonight pretending that it’s already the weekend 🥂

I rearranged the back patio a bit and I’m loving how it feels. Just a little reminder that it doesn’t take big bucks or an overhaul for something to feel fresh again!
