Styling Objects

Styling has become one of my favorite things to do. It’s always a good creative practice and there’s no right or wrong way to do it! I love using a lot of large books, vintage bowls, objects and vessels, small pieces of art, candles in pretty containers, family photos, modern objects, potted plants, baskets or boxes… that’s the beauty of styling – you can use anything that you are drawn to. Shop some recent styling pieces that I’m loving plus a few of my tried-and-true’s!

LATELY

I spotted this table nearly a year ago in a local antique store and stalked it every time I stopped in to shop for other things. I have always love turned leg tables and this one felt so unique. I finally went back for it this week after the dealer said they would take a little less than the sticker price! If you also love this look but haven’t had luck finding a turned leg table of your own, I linked a super affordable ($39!) turned leg side table below. Click to shop!

Our big round mirror got the Rub n’ Buff treatment and I am really liking the hit of gold paired with our console table. If you’ve never used Rub n’ Buff I recommend trying it out – I like the affect so much better than spray paint. It has more of a gold leaf look and is really easy to apply!

I came across these cement table lamps early one morning while feeding Caroline and immediately wanted to order one and do a little DIY on one, although they’re beautiful as is! Shop this one plus other shapes and sizes at the link below.

MY SHOPPING CART

Every season I like to check HM Home for their new arrivals. I always really love their bedding and blankets – they are basic, but always made out of soft cotton or linen, and have a small detail that makes them feel special (like the sweet ruffle on that duvet cover). Click through to see what I’ve got my eye on right now!

Happy Friday!

He was in need of a nice, flat weave rug (because Legos) and I was really excited to get this Henley rug by @loloirugs x @joannagaines @magnolia from their latest collab. I have these rugs all over my house because I seriously love them and they wear so well! More to come on this little room of his.

Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain it’s time to let the furniture breathe a bit and open everything up to the sun. With part of our patio being pea gravel, the easiest way to get loose stones back where they belong is with our leaf blower - we recently topped it off with more gravel so it’s looking extra plush lately. You will find me here tonight pretending that it’s already the weekend 🥂

I rearranged the back patio a bit and I’m loving how it feels. Just a little reminder that it doesn’t take big bucks or an overhaul for something to feel fresh again!
