VINTAGE RUG ROUNDUP
I thought it was about time to do another Etsy vintage rug roundup! There truly is nothing like a vintage rug. Their distressing, muted color palette and intricate patterns are my favorite jumping off point for a room design. The good (and affordable) rugs demand quite the hunt, so I linked a few of my recent favorites below. Happy shopping!
RECENTLY
Ty and I recently started reading the book, Love or Work by Andre & Jeff Shinabarger, together in hopes to better understand the question written right on the cover of the book: Is it possible to change the world, stay in love and raise a healthy family? The book starts by saying “modern couples want it all” — and it’s true, we do want it all! Hoping that this year we can set better goals for everything we want to achieve and still come out on the other side loving each other and having fun together.
I love a statement mirror, especially in an entryway or smaller space. Adding this one to our dining room has been a game changer! You can’t go wrong with a large, round mirror with a simple frame – it’s timeless, pairs well with any style and softens up all of the straight lines we have in our homes.
I’m pretty sure I could eat pizza multiple times a week. Homemade is one of my favorites – we load ours up with sausage, olives, banana peppers, or whatever leftover vegetables in the fridge that need used up. I like to make a batch of dough and divide it into two pizzas for us and the kids; I use this simple recipe with a few additions to the dough: extra salt, oregano, basil and fresh cracked pepper.
