GET THE LOOK

LAMPS IN THE KITCHEN

I love lighting of all shapes and sizes, so I take any chance I can get to layer it into a space. Using a table lamp in a kitchen is one of my favorite looks – it adds this soft, livable feel to a room that’s typically known for its utilitarian purposes that I can’t get enough of. If you have open shelving or a stretch of uninterrupted counter space, or even a kitchen with upper and lower cabinets, there is a lamp out there that will add that perfect layer to your kitchen.

Linked below are some of my favorite lamps – all 20″ or shorter. Be sure to measure the distance between your shelving or cabinet and countertop to find the one that will suit your kitchen best!

LATELY

The biggest news this week is that we painted the TV den – and I mean we painted allll of it. We almost sprayed the ceiling as well, but I wanted to live with it white for a bit before bathing the whole room in the prettiest green-gray by Benjamin Moore, called Storm Cloud Gray. Painting this room has given me a new excitement for design and has my wheels turning like crazy. Being inspired is the best feeling! The two questions I received the most this week were on this paint color & the chandelier in our living room – linked below!

First, I love a beautiful block print fabric. So when I came across this Etsy shop this week my mind went crazy thinking of all the places I could use their fabrics and blankets! And secondly, I’m wanting to add color to our dining room and I’m thinking I will do that through the drapery. More to come on how I plan to do that with the curtain panels I already have!

I’m helping my mom renovate her powder bath — and when she picked this amazing Morris & Co. wallpaper as the jumping off point, you just know it’s going to be amazing!! I can’t wait to share more on the progress of this fun project!

IN MY SHOPPING CART

In my pursuit toward including more design elements in our home that I’ve long loved, I sold the small glass cabinet in our dining room and am searching for a vintage piece to replace it. The style of cabinet/dresser I’m drawn to is all over the map so it’s been fun hunting through Facebook Marketplace and local antique stores for the one that I can’t live without!

Happy Friday, friends!
