Last week I participated in a campaign for Rugs USA and shared their new line of washable rugs. I literally dumped wine on this rug and it came out looking brand new – I couldn’t even find where I originally stained it with the wine! This type of rug would be great on a patio porch, mudroom, under a dining table or any other high traffic space.

Last week Ty and I got away for a much needed date night to our favorite winery in a teeny tiny small town nearby. We walked down to a new to us ice ream shop and I was pleasantly surprised by how cute it was! They had farm fresh ice cream, cheese, milk, bread and a section of curated small business goods. If you’re local to Gilboa, I highly recommend stopping in.

In my eternal struggle to make our dining room a space I truly love, I decided this week that I am going to wallpaper the ceiling. I’ve had a hard time making our dining space feel special while serving many practical purposes for our family. I would wallpaper the entire room, but because our walls are original plaster they have way too much texture to them. All of our ceilings are drywalled so I am going to go for that instead! I ordered a bunch of samples from Spoonflower this week and can’t wait to share them all.

save the date

decor swap!

After such great feedback on the Decor Swap idea I shared on Instagram, I decided to go for it! The highest requested day was Sunday afternoon – so September 19 is the date to save. I’m working on the details, entry requirements and a few small vendors to make it a fun little event. Be sure to mark your calendars and be on the lookout for more info!

Happy Friday!

XO —

Lauren
