Friday Focus: April 02

GET THE LOOK

This year I am determined to spend as much time on our patio and front porch as possible! Last year outdoor furniture sold out fast, so if you’ve had your eye on any for this year now is the time to be shopping. I linked our sectional, front porch furniture and a handful of other options I considered last year below!

LATELY

Playing with color in our tv room has been really fun and refreshing — it is becoming my favorite room in the house all over again! Our house has served as my “canvas” to experiment on over the years: new trends, different ideas to test out, space planning, DIY jobs, paint, paint, paint, swapping furniture in and out… the list goes on. I used to feel bad for wanting to change things up so often or feeling like I would never achieve a fully “finished” space. Now I’m of the opinion that design is fluid and there is no right, “final” version of a room or home and it’s a-ok to change things up. Right now I’m finding fresh inspiration through bringing in more color and pattern to the rooms in our house, and the result is something that feels much truer to my personal style.

SHOP OUR TV ROOM RUG

Last month Ty and I celebrated 9 (!!!) years of marriage. Since our wedding day I have focused on putting one foot in front of the other with no grand plans of my own. Looking back now, I am so amazed and grateful for what the Lord has done in our life up to this point and I can’t wait for what’s next!

SHOP OUR KITCHEN SCONCES

This week we had our home booked through Home Studio List for the first time! Home Studio List is a platform for photographers, content creators, shop owners, etc. to book homes by the hour for photo shoots or videos. You can see check out our listing here:

THE CLASSIC CRAFTSMAN

I don’t know about you, but I have specific leggings for working out and leggings for all other times of the day. These are my go-to for both occasions:

That’s all for this week!

Come with me as I work on giving Cohen’s room a Come with me as I work on giving Cohen’s room a little refresh! He was in need of a nice, flat weave rug (because Legos) and I was really excited to get this Henley rug by @loloirugs x @joannagaines @magnolia from their latest collab. I have these rugs all over my house because I seriously love them and they wear so well! More to come on this little room of his.

Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain Uncover the back patio with me! After days of rain it’s time to let the furniture breathe a bit and open everything up to the sun. With part of our patio being pea gravel, the easiest way to get loose stones back where they belong is with our leaf blower - we recently topped it off with more gravel so it’s looking extra plush lately. You will find me here tonight pretending that it’s already the weekend 🥂
