This year called for a new vibe ☁️ I wanted a calm, warm, layered, edited room that allowed my mind to rest: BM Fossil on the walls, curved boucle bed, burl wood nightstands, statement lighting and luxe drapery. I’ve been obsessed with layered drapes lately and these @cozyology.curtains over sheers are it: they’re heavyyy (I could barely hang them by myself!) and luxe-looking, with the perfect tone on tone layer over the new wall paint. These are the Lena linen drapes in Misty White.

This years staircase. I always mix faux greenery with live elements - usually live cedar or whatever I find around our property. This year I added ivy, crab apple branches, dried oranges and whole citrus 🍊

This season I chose to slow down and not rush. The past few years the creeping feeling of the need to do more sooner and quicker had gone unchecked, and this year I said, “enough.” I don’t have all of my Christmas decorations up and our tree is imperfect and not a single wrapped gift under it yet. And I’m much happier now than I’ve been in years past.

How is it already nearing the end of May? We’ve had a full few months over here and I am so excited that next week school will be out, we have less on our calendar and many more reasons to enjoy these long summer days.
In design-related news, I still don’t have all of my dining chairs in here, drapery is yet to ship and I have a half-finished cabinet in the other corner. But it’s hard to care when all of my days have been spent outside lately ☀️
