About

hi, i’m lauren

Founder + principle DESIGNER OF HOME THEOLOGY design

I started Home Theology in 2018 after becoming a stay at home mom earlier that year. I was feeling directionless and lost, asking myself “what is my purpose?” What started as a creative outlet to share my personal musings and the projects we tackle on our 1917 Craftsman has become a foundational part of our life, giving me the creative, purposeful work I had been searching for.

Now, Home Theology is an interior design firm, blog and shop specializing in curated, fresh, traditional interiors. My personal style resonates with clients considering its collected, thoughtful and livable approach. I work coast to coast with clients on their interior design projects, writing unique content for hometheology.com and curating vintage & one-of-a-king designed lamps and decor for the Home Theology Shop. Our design process prioritizes working closely with clients for a collaborative design experience, resulting in a finished project that is truly reflective who you are and how you live.

Here you will find our personal home projects, DIY, design tips and advice, and the chance to get the Home Theology look with one-of-a-kind pieces in the Home Theology Shop and through the Shop Our Home page. Join me on Instagram for behind the scenes, my personal day-to-day and all things design.

  1. My husband, Ty, is just as much a part of HT as I am. Since getting married in 2012 we’ve been working together on our homes, raising our three kids and pushing each other to pursue what gives us purpose in this life. He’s my best friend and greatest encourager.
  2. My health, fitness and spiritual life are very important to me and are a large part of my day to day. I wouldn’t be who I am without investing in these for most of my life.
  3. Part of my heart is always at the ocean. My absolute favorite place to be is on the beach.
  4. Drinks of choice: coffee, water and dry red wine.
